Married Howard L. Needleman, August 2, 1970
MA in education - Boston University 1973
Her early work entitled, "Effects of early recurrent otitis media on phonological abilities in children" was a major contribution to the field of speech and language pathology

Supervisor Robins Speech and Hearing Clinic - Emerson College, Boston, 1982 – 1985
Noted practitioner in the private practice of speech therapy in Needham 1975 - 1999
Speech-Language Pathologist - Dana Group Associates, Needham 1996 - 1999 where she did assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and consultation to schools and professionals
Devoted to and beloved by the many children who were her clients

Contributing author Hearing Loss In Children, Burton Jaffe Ed. 1977 and Mainstreaming Children With Speech and Language Impairment 1978
Co-author of an in-service training manual for development of social skills in language impaired children and adolescents with Richard Dana. Ed.D.

Died October 12, 1999 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston
Survived by husband Dr. Howard L. Needleman, two sons Joel D. Needleman (DOB 8/4/75) of New York City and Jesse I. Needleman (DOB 4/9/78) of Needham, mother Dorothy V. Liftman, sister Beverly E. Liftman, brother-in law Barry Stevens, sister-in-law Seena Stevens, four nephews Jay Stevens, Shari Stevens, Jonathan Tarella, and Jason Tarella and many, many friends.
